The latest edition of This Week at Bungie dives into the studio's plans for Destiny 2's firearms in the incoming flavor, which testament see the introduction of Legendary Stasis weapons and farther changes to weapon archetypes. But the most interesting change is being made to Primary weapons, which—as many players have antecedently suspected—will have infinite ammunition in the red-hot harden.

"Run out of Primary ammo has ne'er been tactically interesting," weapons feature lead Chris Proctor explained in the update. "Running outer in hard PvE content or because you were happening a tear in PvP was a weird and sometimes frustrating experience that we would like to non subject anyone to in the future."

Of path, this is Destiny 2, and that substance Bungie can't just ingurgitate eternal bullets into its guns and call it a day. Other adjustments have to be made to pay off for the fact that players won't be picking up those E. B. White bricks of ammo anymore. A bigger ammo reserve doesn't signify a lot if you're literally never going to dry out, after all. And then:

  • Inertia Override has been adjusted to account for in that location organism zero Primary bricks.
  • Omit Mag's downside of reducing reserve ammo is now almost vacuous - reworked to be +reload speed, -magazine sizing.
  • Close-packed Arrow Shaft's upper side of increasing reserve ammo likewise - reworked to be +reload, +handling.
  • Updated some new perks that refer to militia in a fashio that's no more accurate.

A for those weapon archetypes, breech grenade launchers "are increasing as a pain point in PvP," and indeed they're beingness nerfed somewhat with reductions to blast wheel spoke and splatter impairment, although PvE damage is really being boosted slightly. Machine accelerator pedal PvE damage is also getting a 20% buff to make them more effective in "high trouble content," scout rifles and hand cannons are getting a boost against minor league, and fusion rifles are acquiring a number of tweaks to healthier differentiate their subfamilies.

The Anarchy exotic grenade launcher is getting nerfed (again), with a total ammo reduction from 26 to 16 and a 30% scathe reduction against bosses (which does not include champions). Xenophage is also being nerfed, with a lower rate of fire—from 120 RPM to 90—and a reduced Political machine Gun PvE damage caramel brown, and Fighting King of beasts is besides being tonal down to compensate for the change in Primary weapon ammunition: "Enabling fast, unlimited grenade spamming was too much in PvP," Proctor said.

Former exotics being changed up include Vex Mythoclast, Merciless, Jotunn, Bastion, and Sweet Business, and new visual effects for grenade launchers, rocket launchers, and Known fusion and linear fusion rifles are as wel connected the way.

"We're devoting a good deal of energy to The Witch Queen expansion, and there are a ton of things changing in a some weeks, so we wishing to see how things shake verboten before deciding on further tuning," Proctor wrote. "We'll be watching Season 15 launch closely and are ready to draw or s small adjustments as needed in the original half of the Season."

Destiny 2 Temper 15 is set to offer live Honourable 24, and along with artillery tuning will also bring about some big changes to Tutelary abilities.
